This darling little bowl is the smallest in our range and makes the perfect hostess gift. Pair it with chocolates, nuts or soap or simply gift it to yourself.
Each of these bowls is wheel thrown from stoneware clay with skill and care. Painted with a variety of colourful glazes, the bowl’s lady wears her traditional headscarf, and has her baby tied to her back in typical African fashion.
“UMUNTU ngumuntu ngabantu”
It is a complex Nguni word that means “the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity.”
“I am what I am because of who we all are.”
In Africa, the definition of an individual is community-based and not individualist. Zizamele’s Ubuntu pieces express this philosophy.
