Women Of Africa

The Women of Africa range is a sculptural range that depicts the strong women of Southern Africa who proudly wear their headgear and tribal costumes. We have captured them in clay for posterity as many of these outfits are no longer seen.

Once fired the bowl is painted in the glorious colours of Africa.  

“UMUNTU ngumuntu ngabantu” It is a complex Nguni word that means “the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity.”   In Africa, the definition of an individual is community-based and not individualist.

“I am what I am because of who we all are."
